Milky Way Cafe is a charming gem nestled in the heart of Makati City, serving authentic Filipino cuisine with a special focus on traditional desserts, particularly their legendary halo-halo. Located on the second floor of a bustling dining complex along Antonio Arnaiz Avenue, this cafe attracts both locals and tourists eager to experience true Filipino flavors in a warm, inviting setting.
Dining here is a sensory journey that highlights the best of the Philippines’ culinary heritage. The highlight, undoubtedly, is the halo-halo—a vibrant, refreshing dessert that blends crushed ice with sweetened beans, jellies, and local ice cream flavors, beautifully balancing sweet and creamy textures. Customers often describe it as the “most delicious Halo-Halo” they’ve ever tasted, with its nostalgic yet indulgent appeal keeping visitors coming back.
Aside from their signature dessert, Milky Way Cafe offers a carefully curated menu of classic Filipino dishes. The dinuguan (pork blood stew) is robust and flavorful, capturing the soul of authentic Filipino cooking, while the kare-kare and krispy pata deliver rich, deep flavors that comfort and satisfy. For those who appreciate heartier fare, the steak paired with creamy mashed potatoes adds a delightful international touch without straying from their commitment to genuine taste.
Though the atmosphere leans towards old-school charm, maintaining a cozy and laid-back vibe, some guests have noted it could benefit from a modern refresh. The space is large and comfortable, making it ideal for groups or families wanting a leisurely lunch or dinner. Given its popularity, especially on weekends, it’s wise to book ahead or visit during off-peak hours to avoid long waits.
While parking and valet services have occasionally drawn mixed feedback, the professional and attentive service inside the cafe shines through, with staff dedicated to ensuring your dining experience is enjoyable from start to finish.
For a true taste of Manila’s culinary soul, Milky Way Cafe promises authenticity and warmth on every plate and in every spoonful. Whether you’re a returning balikbayan or a curious traveler, this cafe invites you to savor the heart of Filipino comfort food and recharge with a bowl of their incomparable halo-halo.

we went there for sunday lunch - we waited an hour to seated in the hallway w/c was real humid. suggest you call to reserve a slot or come in for an early or late lunch. we waited still coz we’re curious as to why this was so recommended to eat at. had an issue w/ the parking guard also for he did not seem to want to assist us when we asked where the valet was. he just starred blankly at us. and when we asked again at a tone that he can hear that someone was speaking to him. he said there was none and even commented that the auto we have was too long. hmmm. already reported to management and we still ate here coz the food was indeed delicious. the inihaw na baboy tho was just tooooo gamey but the rest were stellar.

Definitely a great place to have Halo-Halo and other ice cream desserts, in addition to a full menu of Filipino dishes. The restaurant is located in the second floor of a building housing several restaurants. There are two dining areas that are clean and comfortable. Service was professional; however our server took a long time before he came to take the order. Our order was delivered quickly and the quality excellent. We had the Milky Way Halo Halo, The Ginumis Halo Halo and ice cream. Everyone was happy with their order. In addition, the restaurant sells packaged and jarred items to bring home or give as gifts.

We ordered the dinuguan and it was so good! The halo-halo was great too! We also enjoyed the service. The ambiance could use an upgrade with a little more on the modern side.

Definitely come here for their halo-halo, as it is some of the best in Manila. They also have amazing local ice cream flavors and great steak with mashed potatoes. However, their sinigang is a little too sour for my taste, and they don't have many vegetarian options. Service is really good and there's a large space for dining.

This is the most delicious Halo-halo I have ever tasted. No wonder it's highly recommended by Mike Dizon on his YouTube channel. The staff are also very attentive.

An old school but still a goodie. If you are looking for real authentic filipino flavor this is the place. Highly recommended specially to balikbayan or tourist. They stayed true to the filipino flavors, no gimik just good filipino food. My fave was the diniguan, been a longtime since I tasted this real flavor. Another fave is the Kare Kare and Krispy Pata.
